Values - What do we stand for?

Values are something that lots of people imagine in grey colour, but the reality is far more colourful. IYNF basics are BLUE, RED and GREEN!

BLUE - personal development
We believe in you, in people with cool ideas who are not afraid of sharing them. We want to give you space, support and know-how to make them real. Simply, help you to move forward. DON'T MISS IT!

RED - social development
Being in IYNF means meeting people from different cultures and sharing time, ideas, friends. Sometimes it can be a challenge. We stand for respect and promote dialogue. We are open to all and we want everyone to be open. RATHER RED!

GREEN - feeling for nature
We like nature! We like to be in it!
Integrative tourism, outdoor sports and environmental workshops bring us closer to nature. We are not the ones saving planet with life sacrifice but enjoying our lives in nature. GREEN IS COOOL!

International Youth Work - What is it?

IYNF provides activities that gather young people for international dialogue beneficial for development of ideas.

Furthermore, young people are encouraged for active participation, self-development and mutual understanding through communication, cooperation, tolerance and respect.

IYNF offers the space needed for exchanging your experiences on the international level.

Outdoor sports and cultural education - What do we do?

Challenge yourself, get to know your limits, taste the spirit of team-work, play funny games and join interesting discussions. Experienced trainers will guide you through it.

We focus on: outdoor sports (e. g. climbing, water sports, hiking), summer activities (e. g. youth exchanges, workcamps) and cultural and art workshops and performances (e. g. theatre painting, dancing, music).
ALL IN ONE = IYNF

IYNF Structure - How do we fit in it?

IYNF is an international umbrella organisation for local and national organisations which identify themselves with nature friends values.

There are 24 member organisations (MOs) from different European countries, and IYNF is as well open for new contacts.

Ready to join us? There are many possibilities for you.
IYNF organises its own activities: the yearly summercamp, seminars, training courses, workcamps and conferences. These activities are open for all individual members of the MOs. You can also join a working group or a project team to become an organiser of one of these activities.
Besides this, the different MOs offer open activities. These are open for every single member.
You can represent your organisation and shape IYNF as a delegate in the congress or committee.
And who knows, you might get elected for the presidium!

Cooperation - How do we work together?

IYNF offers a wide range of possibilities of gaining experience, improving your language skills and meeting people with similar interests.

The key word for our activities is cooperation. This includes people of different nationalities, cultures and customs.

It's a perfect opportunity to meet partners for future, new, possible projects and start some long lasting friendships. IYNF network is built on close and positive relations among its members.

Diversity - How do we respect each other?

Diversity is an important aspect of all IYNF activities that helps to find unique solutions on various questions.

If you want to see what a pig and a frog think about it just keep on reading.

Diversity

(a small animal discussion on diversity or 'Frog is in da house')

Frog: Yo Pig, do you already know what you're
   gonna do during the summer?
Pig: Nope, not yet, why?
Frog: What 'bout joinin' us for a camp?
Pig: What kinda campa are ya talkin' 'bout?
Frog: We're gonna fertilize the soil of Jamaica.
Pig: Fertilize, and why?
Frog: Just to help coconuts growing.
Pig: Coconuts? Who would eat that, man?
Frog: Donkey would. He makes soup out of it.
Pig: No way man, how d'ya know that?
Frog: We spent some time on a seminar together.
Pig: And what have you learnt there?
Frog: Loads of freakin' interesting stuff man. And we got to know each
other pretty well by the end. I wouldn't eat a single coconut
but tha soup is really great!
Pig: Wow, who ran tha seminar?
Frog: Well it's much more like a group of friends and
it's lead by an old mole.
Pig: Then, I'd like to get involved in this cool society man.
Frog: Ya Pig, and how would ya contributa to our activities.
Pig: I coulda do a workshoppa on how to snore and stink.
Frog: Great man, learning from pigs is way cooler than I imagined.
Pig: Totally dude, I'd say your organisation will gain a tremendous
amount of coolness by opening up to the Pig Universe!!
