New opportunities for volunteers in IYNF

8th January 2009
The new year 2009 just started and it already brings challenges to us and the organisation. In this year, IYNF will have to go through a number of changes to come out of it in the end as an organisation that
- has good contact with it member organisations and their local groups
- has a solid and long-term coordination of its actions
- provides interesting and rewarding opportunities for its volunteers
- makes a real difference in the world around

To become such organisation, we are opening opportunities for people in IYNF in a number of positions. Check the following calls for more details on how you get involved.

Volunteers Coordinator

Volunteer coordinator is a new voluntary position in IYNF. The person will be a part of IYNF Team, which is a new structure composed of long-term volunteers and staff that coordinate key fields of IYNF on a long-term basis. The Team is appointed and led by the Secretary General and serves as the top management of IYNF.

One of the key priorities of IYNF has become coordination of the volunteers’ pool that consists of approximately 50 people.

Most of the work in IYNF is implemented by volunteers. Not only we need to ensure their constant recruitment, education, evaluation and matching with the requirements of the job (like any other mission-driven and project-based organisation) but there are higher ambitions too. Volunteers not only serve but learn and develop too. We are committed to provide rewarding, motivating and learning experience through volunteering to our people. This needs long-term coordination too.

The position could be interesting for a person with knowledge or experience with HR management or at least a deeper interest in the area. For such a person, it could be an excellent opportunity to get practical experience and big learning impact.
Details about the position, the requirements, offers etc are in the attached Volunteers coordinator vacancy note.
