2009 was again a quite turbulent and busy year for IYNF, with many activities. The office became much fuller then before with Martijn van den Berg staying as a Networking coordinator after his EVS project and Anna and Vanessa joining our team as new EVS. Marie Venclova joined IYNF as a meetings coordinator.
Other big changes that happened were the appointment of Joris Taanman as the new Secretary General. Besides that there was the start of the implementation of the Networkingprograms and the magazines Tube and Calendar were born. On the other side we decided to quit with our magazine Variety which excisted for a long time. IYNF came with its own e-store in order to make the publications more accesible for organisations and youth workers. And of course we kept everyone updated through this website and our weekly digital newsletter Courier.
2010 promises to be a exciting year with many activities happening. We will be working from a new -and a bit bigger- office, but in the same building and same address and there will be a -partly- new Presidium elected during the GA in May in Austria. Also the activities will be more focussed on environmental topics such as the Green workshops and the Born to be wild project. In the end of February we will publish the first IYNF yearbook of 2009. At the end of March Ondrej Pohanka will leave IYNF after many years. In August/September we have to say goodbye to Anna and Vanessa and we will hopefully welcome two new EVS volunteers. In the beginning of the new year we will also launch a new website with more tools and more possibilities to be interactive. A backoffice will serve for volunteers, members and partners in order to organise more actvities together and stay in touch in a good way.
In other words: we are very much looking forward to the new year and are hoping to continue and improve the good cooperation with NFI, our members and partners, volunteers, ambassadors and participants!
This is also a good moment to say big thanks to our sponsors without them it would not be possible to do the things that we do!
