We werent asking or looking for a new office, but we had to move. Fortunately we could stay in the same building, from the first to the sixth floor. Before we could move we had to make quite some preparations, like packing, cleaning and making a moving plan where to put what.
Between Christmas and new year a few staff members and some movers transported all the office equipment upstairs.
Moving is an ideal time to go through all the things and to throw away stuff. Piles of papers and rubbish were thrown away.
Since today (Tuesday 5th of January 2010) all computers have internet again. By phone you can reach us on our usual numbers, the fax is working again as well It might take us some time to answer all the emails and get back into the work. For that we would like to ask for your understanding.
What is the same?
-The people that are working for IYNF
-Theaddress, phone and fax number
-We still have the same team and spirit!
What changed/what would we like to change?
-We have 3 rooms instead of 2 and a bit more space, there is a separate space now for meetings without disturbing the others (well ok Joris and Ondrej..)
-The Secretary General is not in the storage room anymore, the storage room is only for storage
-We have the possibility to cook now during lunch
-We are not on the first floor but on the sixth now, this means a bit more time and effort to get up/down/in/out of the building
-We will have new neighbors
-We have mixed toilets now…
-We would like to keep the new office more tidy and professional.
We still need to finish and buy some things, that we will do in the next few weeks. But in general we are settled and feel at home here. Some more IYNF atmosphere (pictures, logos) will do the job!
