IYNF photo contest: Don’t store it – share it!

21st January 2010
We invite you all to take part in our photo contest: “Don’t store it – share it!”
Why did this idea appear? Participants take many pictures during the activities. Some of them are nice, some are funny, other have good quality and can have a documentary value. But they are all important both for the organizers, trainers and them. That is why we would like to provide a space for the photos and their authors. The best background of our publications and website we can imagine is the one created by people who took part in the events we had organized. For that reason we would like to involve them in this action and collect all the best pictures which then will appear on our website or in Tube and other publications. With the sent photos we can discover how our activities are seen by people who were there. We are sure that these precious moments are worth showing; they should be preserved and appreciated.

Some information and rules:
• Our photo contest is open to all people who were present at one of IYNF activities or meetings. Each person can send up to 5 photos which were not modified or improved in any way.
• Only the digital pictures will be accepted and they should be in JPG or RAW file with a resolution of 72 (at least) dpi.
• You can send us the chosen pictures by post on CD or via e-mail or via www.yousendit.com (zip it first) to one of our IYNF office address:
International Young Naturefriends
Senovazne nam. 24
CZ-116 47 Praha 1
Czech Republic
iynf [@] iynf.org (please, insert the word “photo contest” in the title of your e-mail)

Deadline: We would like to receive the new pictures just after each activity that happens. The time for sending is until 1 month (exactly 30 days!) after the last day of the project. So don’t wait until it is too late! Send them when they are still fresh.
• Reproduction and copyright: It is only allowed to send the pictures you made yourself. We assume that you own all rights to the photos you use and that people depicted agree to their publications.
• The results of the contest will be announced after each activity. We will inform you about the outcomes in our newsletters, Tube and on the website. As this is the first edition we would be very happy to receive photos chosen by you from the previous IYNF activities. We are waiting for your contribution. Choose the photos you consider the best, which you like the most and help us to create the wonderful collection.
• The authors of the chosen pictures will be rewarded after each edition of the contest, so it means that we will make a new selection from every activity. There will be also a special reward for the best picture of the year,

So don’t keep your photos locked in the folders, show it and watch the ones made by other people you might have met.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to write to us and ask. I will be very happy to reply or help, but the biggest joy for me will be, of course, to receive your photos.
