It was deadline time in IYNF office. Last monday we submitted 3 grants. In this Courier you can also read more about InTouch, MTF and the Planning Weekend. There is an update about Calendar, Tube and the Courier of the European Youth Forum. Last but not least we have a very nice offer for you from the Austrian Naturefriends who organise 4 different kinds of workcamps on environmental issues. Meanwhile we are working on a new system for the participation fees, the outcomes of plaNet and X-perience, a staff retreat and the promotion and representation of IYNF. Participationfees Meet the freak online very soon!
The participation fees will be online after the weekend, if you apply before the 30th of June you will get 15 euro discount! If the fees are still to high for you please look at the solidarity fund. We are still looking for freak leaders and art group leaders in certain countries. Meanwhile the team is working on the preparatory meeting which will happen from 2 till the 5th of July. Deadline for applications is 30th of June and since MTF is very popular we recommend you to apply soon.

News
InTouch returns!
A few months ago we had to decide to cancel the introductionary seminar InTouch because of lack of participants. This seminar is ment for young European naturefriends who would like to get involved in the international level. During 5 days the participants get more information about the naturefriends movement in general and IYNF in specific. They get information and tools to start organising projects, contacts to other groups and can also present their own member organisation or local group. The new dates will be from 3d till the 8th of November in Germany. To make InTouch a succes we need the cooperation of our members and partners to bring up participants that are interested in the international level, but dont know how and where to start. Next week we will start preparing the seminar and will give you more information. We stay InTouch!
Grants submitted
Last Monday, the first of June, we applied with 3 different grants. One for the Planning weekend, one for InterAct and one for EVS. A lot of time and effort was put into it in order to hopefully get good results. We were finished on time and would like to thank everybody who contributed! Of course we will keep you updated about the outcomes.
Tube and Calendar
Calendar was sent last Friday. The next issue will come on Wednesday 24th of June. Please mail contributions –promotion of your activities, interesting topics- to Calendars editor Lucie on lucie (at) iynf.org
Meanwhile Martijn is finishing Tube which is hopefully ready by the end of next week so it can be send out.
Planning Weekend is being planned
The yearly IYNF Planning weekend will this year be from Thursday evening 24 till Sunday 27th of September in the Czech Republic. Next week we will start with the preparations and look for a venue. The Planning weekend will just as the Volunteersmeeting have a new structure were it is combined with the Council. More information will follow next week, but please mark the dates in your agenda already.

Changes with YFJ Courier
The Youth forum doesnt only have a refreshed website were you can update your profile, also there is a new layout. You will need the passwords you are using to access the YFJ Website to get the information. If you are a user of the European Youth Forum you already should have received the password sent to your organisations general address . If this is not the case or if you would like to use a different address to receive the passwords please let Marta Gomez at the YFJ Secretariat know as soon as possible. She will do the necessary arrangement to provide you with the password. One more piece of collaboration: if you have any news, campaigns or events you want to share with all visitors to the YFJ website, please send the information to press (at) youthforum.org, with your logo or picture to illustrate it and it will be posted on the homepage. But the same goes for IYNF Courier and Calendar of course!
Four different International Environmental Workcamps of Young Naturefriends Austria
As every year, Austrias Young Naturefriends organize Environmental Workcamps in different locations across Austria. They welcome open minded people from 16 to 30 years to spend one week in summer working in and for nature on a volunteer basis (free food and accommodation). There are 4 different kind of working camps: Preservation of biodiversity, Hydropower and security, Dachtsteincamp 2009 and Around the Lainzer Tiergarten.
