Calendar 3 was sent
For the third time we have sent Calendar to our members, partners and local groups. Calendar came out yesterday and contained news about IYNF, offers from IYNF and activities from members and partners. Calendar alsways comes on the last wednesday of the month and provides a space to promote projects of activities. If you have a contribution please mail it to Calendars editor lucie (at) iynf.org
2nd issue of Tube
We announced it many times before but now the second edition of Tube is really ready. At the moment Tube is at the printer and will be sent out tomorrow or beginning next week the latest. We are very happy with the content of the second issue, the changes that were made after the feedback that we received and the new structure. We are looking forward to your feedback on it. For those who dont receive Tube next week Tube will also be available online. Enjoy the reading!
MTF prep meeting
Next week on thursday the second of July the Meet the freak team will meet in Szalka in Hungary. It is time for the preparation meeting of the project which will happen from the 11th till the 26th of August. During the meeting of 3 days the heart core team, freak leaders and art group leaders will meet to discuss the program, visit the venue and meet local people. Also the press will be present. Everybody is very much looking forward to meet face to face as this makes the communication and decission making much easier and this phase of the preparation is quite hard.
Staff retreat
Yesterday and this morning Ondrej, Ivan, Marie and Martijn went on a so called staff retreat. We went to Nachod - a nice and quiet town in east north of the Czech republic. We gave feedback to each other and discussed topics we normally dont have the time for. We had an interesting discussion about the pax fees, media and promotion, networking in IYNF, new funding options and how we look at the roles and structures in the team from september on. The retreat led to a good clarification and was also a nice way of teambuilding and spending informal time together.
Presidium
In two weeks the Presidium is going to have a meeting in the Czech Republic. The first meeting after PlaNet will be dedicated to discussions about the way of preparation of the Workplan 2010 which would integrate interests and perspectives of all IYNF stakeholders, concept of the networking field, new vision of the involvement of volunteers and their role in the organisation. The first day of the meeting will be together with staff.
