InTouch call online
The call for InTouch is finished and online. The InTouch concept changed a bit into a rather specific seminar/workshop for youth exchange organisers; one of the first visible outputs of the new networking programme. InTouch will be held from the 3d till the 8d of November and is in Germany. Have a look at it when you are interested and also please help us promoting it to make it a success! We are developing a leaflet for InTouch and also a special short movie can be found online now. InTouch is also created as an event on Facebook.

Planning Weekend
The Planning weekend will be a meeting of the people from member organisations and their local groups, Presidium, staff and volunteers. It will be a working and planning meeting and in the same time also a place of formal decisions (statutory Council). Our main aim for the meeting is to prepare common plans for the year 2010 following IYNF long-term strategy.
If you have organised something with IYNF in the past season or want to get involved in the next one, please come to Planning weekend! It will take place 24 – 27 September 2009 in the Czech Republic. Deadline for registration is 1 September 2009.
More information and registration form is on the IYNF website. The Planning Weekend is also an event on Facebook.

News

Great grant news!
Last friday we had a wonderful feeling going into the weekend: we got great grant news! because we heard that two grants are approved! One is the grant for EVS. The other one is for this years Planning Weekend in the Czech Republic. The last grant that we are waiting for at the moment is Interact.

Office fuller and fuller
We are happy to announce that we will be able to expand IYNF office team by more people. Already in one week, the office will get fuller with Joris Taanman (NL), who will become on 1 February 2010 the IYNF Secretary General. Until then, Joris will coordinate preparation of the projects in the first half of 2010.
From September, we will have Vanessa Hofeditz (DE) coming as an EVS volunteer to be joined from first of October by Anna Swetnik (PL). They both will be working in a small Networking Team, together with Martijn Van Den Berg (NL), who will be its leader from September on. This team will be in charge of all IYNF magazines and newsletters and take care for the starting Networking programmes.
These changes really allow IYNF to boost its support to member organisations and their local groups for mutual coopeation and learning.

IYNF Yearbook concept is waiting for your comments
In the last issue of Courier we announced that Variety magazine will turn into a promotional publication of IYNF Yearbook. To involve interested people into its development and preparation, we prepared a page on IYNF Wiki, where the concept, format etc. is described in detail. If you are interested, paste your comments on the Talk page, so others can discuss it with you.
In case you would like to receive a printed copy of Yearbook by the end of the year, please contact its editor – Lucie (lucie[at]iynf.org). We will advertise orders of Yearbook in autumn.

New Calendar sent out and online
Yesterday the Calendar of August was sent out. The issue contains information about the call for the seminar In Touch, the Planning weekend of IYNF, workcamps in Austria and the very last call to join the Meet the freak project. For those who are thinking of experiencing European voluntary service we have an offer from Duha Czech Republic. Download and read Calendar.

Xperience report submitted
We are submitting the final report for the first part of Long term training course Xperience tomorrow. Everything looks fine and no problems expected. Big thanks to Viki and Kuba for preparing the report and to everybody involved for preparing such a great activity. Already looking forward to TC2.
