Dear Courier reader,

The January turned Prague into a Snow-Paradise and everybody is thinking about Skiing trips. In the mountains you can find a Naturefriends’ dreamworld, and we hope that all of you have the possibility to enjoy it!

Enjoy your weekend,

Activities and offers

Next EVS in IYNF for 2010
It could already be called a tradition to host EVS volunteers in IYNF office. Just like last year we look for two people who could become the part of our team for a year. The application is already possible on our website and the project will start in August/September. The deadline for sending the CV and filling the form is 10th of February. For more information, please click here.

Green Workshops
Due to the fact that 2010 is the year of environmental Naturefriends we encourage you to take part in one of our new activities. Two training courses focus on different fields of environmental issues: education and promotion, but share the same name; Green workshops. The Green Games will take place in April (Austria) and the later GetGreen in May (Hungary). The complete description of the project and the call for participants is now online on our website.

News

Tube in print
After more than one month of work, asking people for contributions, getting nice articles and finally editing them, we now sent everything to our web designer Ondrej Bouska. The design will be ready today, so that we can print it soon. You can already look forward to have your own issue in your postbox! If you are not yet a receiver of our volunteers magazine Tube and would like to change that, please send an e-mail to vanessa (at) iynf.org.

Presidium meeting Budapest
This weekend the Presidium will meet in the beautiful capital of Hungary. It is their first meeting of the year, and the second last of their current presidency. We wish them a good and effective time, with a lot of energy and are happy to write more about the meeting in next Courier.

International Institute of Social History
Before we moved our office, we also sorted out all the stored magazines we had in our office. But don’t be scared, we did not throw any of these nice publications from Members, Partners, etc away. For a longer time already we have an archive in the Netherlands in Amsterdam where sent all sorted out materials.
If somebody of you is interested in it, please visit their website.

A chapter different than others
Yearbook 2009 is another IYNF publication we are now working on. We find it important, to present all the past activities we have organised. Besides, this is also a platform to show how many people and organisations helped us throughout this period. We plan to publish and distribute Yearbook by the end of February 2010. Besides chapters full of articles, we also intend to have some fun pages in Yearbook. That is why we invite you to contribute to this part of our publication. There is a space for you to be creative! The theme is the IYNF slogan – Connect&Inspire. It is up to you what type or method you will use (comic, picture, strip, photo-story, puzzle)…the aim is to have some fun or joke present in it. We would like to receive your art works in PDF format. The selection will be done by Yearbook editorial team and office staff. Deadline: 6 February 2010. The winner will be published in Yearbook 2009, will get a copy of Yearbook and a practical IYNF gift. All received art works will be published on our website. Ready works or any questions please forward to Lucie at lucie (at) iynf.org.
More information will appear soon!
