Courier - 4/10

4th February 2010
Dear Courier reader,

The end of January turned out to be even busier for us than we had expected. In this kind of time you just have to give priority to one thing, whereas other must wait for their turn. We had to make this decision last week, that’s why we didn’t manage to provide you with Courier as every Thursday. But what count more are the things that we have done – you can read about them in this edition of our newsletter. It was also more difficult because of the absence of people in the office; Vanessa went to her EVS mid-term training, which unfortunately Anna couldn’t join because she was ill. Now, finally, we should get back to the normal rhythm of work.

Have a nice time,
Anna

News

5 grants submitted
The whole previous month was filled up with grant writing and all that this requires. We are happy to announce that we managed to submit all grants, which we had planned to for the deadline of 1st of February. These were: InterAct, Cultural fusion, Meet the freak, InTouch and Born to be wild. Now we just have to wait for the results and keep our fingers crossed. Of course, we will keep you informed, also on our website.

Tube sent out
The fourth edition of Tube was ready last week. Only after we had got it from the printing company, it was sent out to all receivers. This time in the envelope, together with our newsletter, you will receive a special green leaflet. There is an overview of all the activities we are organizing this year. So stick it to your walls, poster spaces and spread the news among your friends. In case you would need it, you can also download the activity leaflet. We hope you will enjoy reading Tube, which can be also downloaded, and share your comments about it with us.

Landscape of the Year
New information connected with this project is that the Final Report on the Landscape of the Year 2007 – 2009 was published. This is the result of involvement and cooperation of all people and organisations, who contributed to this environmental idea. It underlines the importance of sustainability in our life on this planet. If you are interested in more detailed description and outcomes, please visit NFI website, where the report is available.
