IYNF
• In the beginning of August, when the sun was shining in whole Europe, 39 young people travelled from all European corners to Bavaria, where it was… raining with 10 days rain forecast. Finally the weather got better, despite the desperate forecast and employed “no-hope-strategy” allowed an outdoor programme without bigger problems.
• IYNF decided to make new Naturefriends T-shirts using the opportunity to make T-shirts for the summer camp. We are very lucky to recognise that T-shirts are favourite for many old and young Naturefriends Europe-wide.
For your better imagination the T-shirt is khaki or red colour, small shaking-hands logo of Naturefriends on the front side and on the backside there is a short comic about Naturefriends X Naturists troubles. The T-shirts are still available in IYNF office for 8,- euro.
• New IYNF website will be set off soon and it will includes Internet shop with product gallery. So all payments as for T-shirts, publications and fees for IYNF activities could be paid, easily.
• The 4th Planning Weekend took place in the middle of September at Burg Hohenstein. 19 young Naturefriends, two days and nights, 9 workshops and thirty beers and the year 2006 is planned. See more in Marta’s article.

• 100 delegates of the Congress of International Friends of Nature meet again after three years this time in Ismaning (Bavaria). They discussed the future of the movement, listened to reports of the board, amended the Statutes, elected a new board, approved 10 motions and slept in a four-stars hotel.
• 3000 german Friends of Nature together with international guests celebrated the 100 years anniversary of Naturfreunde Deutschland. The congress centre ICM in Munich witnessed addresses of the NFD President, President of the German Bundestag, mayor of Munich and a traditional dance of Munich beer barrel makers.
• The President of NFI Herbert Brückner celebrated his birthday at the Congress. IYNF wish you, Herbert, a lot of strength and success to the new period as president.
• Wilfried Meulenbergs and Mirek Prokeš, two faces from NFI that have been most often seen at IYNF activities in the past two years, were elected into the board of NFI; a promising step that shows conscious reflection of the need to support youth work of Friend of Nature.
• IYNF delegation was everywhere there as well.
• After a long time of unfruitful search for some young italian Naturefriends we found them! We are very happy to meet them all in a sudden at NFI Congress and we hope that they will enrich IYNF. Secret information for some of you: they are climbers and they have a Naturefriends’ house in the middle of the mountains...
• IYNF Guidelines commission finished its job by drafting a new version of IYNF Statutes, which eventually became a topic of its work. The Presidium is now dealing with the revolutionary draft and preparing own comments to the IYCE in December.
• The Danube Delta was officially proclaimed the Landscape of The Year 2007-2008 by the Presidents’ Conference of NFI. Danube Delta won the election from Albanian-Greek- Macedonian borderland.
• As the IYNF office is sustainably growing in matters of materials, staff working in etc., we realise the need of new working spaces. So, now we have fresh new table with two fixed working places for APAs with PCs and an own copy machine.
• IYNF office is slowly turning to the hard green base of Naturefriends heart. First of all we changed the PET bottles with water for big return barrels with water about a year ago.
This summer we bought two boxes for separate garbage. So except separating paper now we separate plastic, tetra packs, batteries and aluminium. Next level would be biomass, but there are no bio mass bins in Prague yet.
