IYNF is looking for 2 EVS volunteers in the Secretariat in Prague

1/9/2010 - 31/8/2011Czech Republic, Prague
Are you one of the two new EVS volunteers IYNF is looking for?

Important!
Please read the following information before filling in the application!

(On picture: Anna and Vanessa, our two current EVS volunteers)

What is EVS? And why is it such a great opportunity?
EVS stands for European Voluntary Service and it is funded by the EU Youth in Action Programme. It gives young people the opportunity to live and work abroad from 2 weeks (group EVS) to 12 months (individually) in a foreign non-profit organisation. Young people do EVS before or after their study. Its a possibility to do something that makes sense, to see more of Europe, to meet other interesting people, to improve their English and to have a great experience on their CV!

IYNF is currently looking for two EVS volunteers for a 1 year project (shorter unfortunately not possible) in the Secretariat in Prague from 1/9/2010 till 31/8/2011.

Are you interested to live in Prague for a year? Would you like to meet new people and travel all over Europe during our activities? Improve your working skills? Work in an international youth NGO with members in 19 different countries and 130.000 in total? Learn more about communication, promotion, organize, writing and editing?

Then find out more here!

Project description: Networking and communication
The volunteers will be working in the following fields of Networking in IYNF:
• Coordinating work of Ambassadors - volunteers connecting IYNF and its member organisations and their local groups
• Preparation and administration of communication channels - website, database, forum, magazine Tube, minutes of the office meetings and our regular newsletters Courier and Calendar
• Organisation of partnership building activities
• Support of the e-commerce (webshop)

We offer:
• Possibility to travel around Europe
• Being part an international team (at the moment Czech-Slovak-Dutch-German-Polish)
• Czech lessons and easy acces to large EVS network in Prague
• Gaining experience in editing media and project management. Being part of a big international network and the Naturefriends community.
• Taking part in IYNF activities and projects either as participant and/or as a team member
• A mentor who will help you with practical issues
• As an EVS volunteer you will get: a room, public transport card, complete insurance, monthly pocket money (about €100,- euro) and daily money for food and drinks (about €6,- euro)

We are looking for:
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic individuals with the ability to work in English and a great willingness to learn
• Experience with youth work and good knowledge of information technologies and German is desirable but not essential
• Age between 18 and 27 years
• Readiness to commit yourself for a year to live and work abroad

Naturefriends (members of our members) will have priority.

Interested candidates are requested to apply through the application form bellow. Please fill also contact details to the Sending organization field. Without a registered sending organization it’s not possible to apply. Replies to the motivation questions are an important condition for the selection process. As the project is supported by the Youth in Action programme, we can only accept EU residents.

Deadline for application is wednesday 24th of February 2010.

IYNF will apply for funding of the project on 1st of April at the national Czech level. The two new EVS volunteers will be chosen on the 1st of March and will be contacted by us.

We are looking forward to your application!

If you have any questions (no applications!) feel free to contact one of our two current EVS volunteers: Anna Swetnik, anna [@] iynf.org
