Remembrance – From Memory to Action
Remembrance - From Memory to Action
The project From Memory to Action was an international youth project that explored the history of National Socialism, persecution and resistance through a participatory and reflective educational approach. The partnership between GIAN-GIO, NFJD NDS and IYNF focused on how memories of past injustices shape present-day attitudes, responsibilities and civic engagement, and how young people can actively relate historical learning to current social and political challenges. Through international encounters and non-formal education activities, participants engaged with historical sites, personal stories and collective reflection, connecting remembrance with questions of democracy, human rights and social responsibility. While initially planned as a broader partnership, the project was ultimately implemented without the participation of the Czech group.
