Presidium

The Presidium is the organisation’s main political and strategic decision-making body between General Assemblies. It is responsible for steering the overall direction of IYNF, safeguarding its values, and ensuring continuity in its work and representation.

Elected by the General Assembly, the Presidium works closely with the Secretary General and the office team to oversee the implementation of decisions, represent IYNF externally, and support the development of the organisation at the European and international level. Its members bring diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives, reflecting the international and youth-led character of IYNF.

The Presidium plays a key role in:

setting strategic priorities and political positions,
ensuring good governance and organisational accountability,
representing IYNF towards partner organisations, institutions, and networks,
supporting member organisations and internal structures.

Nazarena

President

Represents: GIAN-GIO

Nazarena is a British youth leader based in Rennes, France, who joined IYNF in 2021 and has grown from participant to workshop leader and President, with international experience in volunteering, civic service and activism across Europe, the USA and Kenya, and a strong commitment to climate justice, youth empowerment and making environmental action practical, accessible and joyful within international youth networks and movements worldwide today and beyond for youth. Jannis

President

Represents: Naturfreundejugend Deutschlands

Jannis is a student of archaeology and media studies at Ruhr University Bochum and a lifelong member of the Naturefriends movement, with extensive experience in youth representation, climate advocacy and organisational governance, including board roles within Naturfreundejugend, participation as a delegate at COPs, and current work within the Advisory Council on Youth of the Council of Europe as rapporteur for the rights of persons with disabilities.

Vice-President

Represents: NF Greece

Efthymios Rafail Angelis is a History and Philosophy of Science student from Athens and an active member of Naturefriends Greece since 2019, currently serving as Secretary and Vice President, with previous experience coordinating Greek Young Naturefriends, and strong interests in environmental education, climate advocacy, sustainable tourism and environmental humanities within the broader Naturefriends movement. Angela is a Vice-President of the International Young Naturefriends and a physics student based in Caen, Normandy, with a background in youth leadership and sustainability workshops, who joined IYNF in 2023 and is committed to strengthening the network, supporting capacity-building initiatives and empowering young people to drive positive environmental and social change across Europe and global partner communities

Vice-President

Represents: ASAN

He has been an active member of Nature Friends Sénégal (ASAN) since 2016, with experience in youth leadership and coordination, including serving as chairperson of Nature Friends UGB, and has further developed his facilitation and intercultural skills through IYNF international exchanges and trainings, with strong interests in humanitarian work, access to education, environmental protection and climate justice within youth and community-based initiatives.
