Electronic billboards in Times Square no longer flashed. Rome’s Acropolis was no longer illuminated. In Saudi Arabia, the lights went out on Kingdom Tower while Berlin’s Brandenburg gate fell dark. Over 7,000 cities in 150 countries joined Earth Hour, WWF’s movement to raise awareness about climate change and energy consumption.

IYNF was there to capture the moment Prague castle and the Dancing House flipped the switch, symbolising the city’s commitment to protect the planet.

But Earth Hour is not merely an annual moment of solidarity, it aims to encourage positive action and lasting change beyond the event itself. Feeling inspired? What change will you make?
