Festival Terra Lenta (Slow Earth) – Sustainability on the Italian coast!
Join us for the unique Festival Terra Lenta in Cecina (LI) from September 22nd to 24th, where you’ll experience an international environment dedicated to learning about living a sustainable life!
Why Cecina? This beautiful coastal town hosts the legendary Naturefriends house Gran Pino, where the Italian Naturefriends movement was founded. The festival coincides with Gran Pino’s 50th anniversary, adding even more significance to the event.
At Gran Pino and Villa Cinquantina (within walking distance), you can participate in a range of activities, including roundtable discussions, sustainable markets, an NGO fair, and workshops.
The festival is a joint effort between International Young Naturefriends, the municipality of Cecina, and Italian Naturefriends with the Naturefriends section of Gran Pino, who have successfully connected the local and international spheres, fostering new partnerships and meaningful connections.
To top it off, IYNF will conclude its 2023 activities at Gran Pino during the festival. Workshops facilitated by international participants from all over Europe will showcase the knowledge acquired from previous international activities.
We are immensely grateful to the municipality of Cecina for their generous support in creating this remarkable event amidst the beauty of the Tuscan coast.

We are thrilled to introduce a special focus on sustainable tourism at the Festival Terra Lenta. On top of this, we have organised a walk in the natural reserve of Tombolo di Cecina, to discover the beautiful surroundings of the festival.
