Anna Bezhanova
Project Manager

Dear Naturefriends,

My name is Anna and I am joining the IYNF secretariat as a project manager.

I am originally from Georgia, although I’ve been living in Prague for a few years for my studies in liberal arts, which got me interested in urban sociology and social movement studies. Before that I was active in the European Youth Parliament, where I learned a lot about non-formal
education, especially in multicultural environments.

Before moving to the Czech Republic, I spent all of my summers in the mountains, mostly reading, walking and drinking tea. Being an all year round city dweller, the time I spend in nature is especially dear to me nowadays and I often think of accessibility of green and public spaces in and outside of cities, especially seeing how much space in nature is getting privatised in my home country and around the world.

My first encounter with IYNF at the International Youth Leader Qualification in Cecina
connected a lot of dots for me on political and educational levels. So I am really excited to
work with young people on projects that are built with social justice and sustainability in mind
that we oh so desperately need in our communities these days and always.

All the best from Prague,
Anna
