Supernatural Festival, an event that celebrates Earth Day, was held for the 9th time in Belgrade. It is organized by people who created the Supernatural movement, which aims to raise the environmental awareness of people in Serbia. The idea of this festival is to present organizations that work in the field of ecology such as organic food producers, as well as to present good local bands and to promote the concept of a festival – to help the people gain new knowledge in ecology and environmental protection, enjoying daylight and nature. It is interesting that the festival is also dedicated to the youngest, with a lot of creative workshops which bring the world of ecology and nature closer to them.
It took place on an island of the Danube River, called Ada Huja, which was an illegal dump until a few years ago, but with a lot of work and commitment, the team of the Supernatural festival have turned this place into an oasis. It has become a new park on the Danube River. They precisely demonstrate how we can all influence our environment.
As for tickets for this year’s festival, packing some tea or a jar of organic homemade honey was more than enough.One part of the festival programme was the presentation of ecological communities from Serbia – Green Community. There was also an exhibition of flowers, spices and medicinal herbs, an organic food market, gym made from recycled materials, and of course, concerts.With sunset, traditionally, the festival came to an end, and next year we will celebrate its tenth anniversary!
