The annual Networking Conference 2014 comes with the title Urban Outdoors – Resilient Cities, Resilient Youth!
Do you have interesting ideas how to transform your city into a better place? Would you like to involve your young nature-friendly group into meaningful local initiatives? Have you implemented an interesting project and do you believe it could inspire Young Naturefriends around Europe? Are you keen on finding more about topics that connect the urban phenomenon with the nature? Do you like to spend your free time outdoors?
If you answered yes at least to one of the questions, then you are the right person we are looking for!
We will meet together to discover more about sustainable green urban living, community building, youth participation, experiential outdoor education, healthy lifestyle or interaction between humans and nature.
We offer a program filled with interactive lectures and open-sharing spaces. As a participant you will have a chance to share your skills and best practices, gain new knowledge and get inspired by your peers and invited experts. We want you to question your opportunities to influence your future, voice your concerns and claim your rights in your communities or urban cities – looking at the global picture of resilience of the planet.
The meeting will be kindly hosted by the local group of Italian Naturefriends in Volterra, which is located in the heart of Tuscany. This house owned by the association brings the community of Italian Naturefriends together since 1978.
We will be surrounded by amazing natural sceneries and we will have the amazing opportunity to watch the night sky in the astronomic observatory that belongs to the house.

The networking conference is open to: Delegates of IYNF member and partner organizations, volunteers and representatives of various youth organizations that share the values of IYNF and are willing to join the network are welcome to apply. The priority in selection procedure will be given to applicants who are currently active in the Naturefriends movement.
Costs: Participants will be reimbursed 70 % of their travel costs to the meeting. No participation fee applies.
